Two Shrimps

Early Life:
I have always been very interested in health and fitness. I grew up being very active. My identical twin sister and I played three varsity sports in high school. We were both offered scholarships for softball in college. Cal Ripken Jr. was my hero and I tried very hard to emulate his work ethic. I was and still am very competitive. I love to push myself really hard.

College:
During college I started taking medicine for OCD(Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) that had some very bad side effects. It caused me to gain a lot of weight and I had extreme fatigue. After struggling for a while I decided to go off of the medication and handle it naturally with vitamins. I could not have done this without the grace of God and the support He gave me through my wonderful husband Matt. Almost immediately my energy returned and I dropped the weight quickly, although it required a lot of hard work and a new lifestyle. During this time Matt encouraged me to get a job with the Vitamin Shoppe, which changed my life forever.

Today:
Now I am a health nut! I am stronger and more fit than I have ever been. I try to lift three days a week while going to Tae Kwan Do classes at least twice a week and I squeeze in some intense cardio whenever I can. I really enjoy how Matt and I push each other in the gym. We help each other get stronger, faster, leaner, etc. I also have a very clean diet. I eat 5-6 small meals each day. I try to eat every 2-3 hours and I take in my body weight in protein. I also drink more than a gallon of water everyday. During the week I do more than 200 push ups each day and about 40 pull ups each day. These numbers will continue to increase. I want to always get better no matter how old I get. The sky is the limit!

I believe that my calling has something to do with health and fitness. With Matt’s help I hope to use this passion to help others and glorify God. Enjoy!
